Welcome 

Through a dynamic program of keynote presentations, interactive sessions, and poster exhibitions, we aim to foster collaboration, inspire new perspectives, and accelerate progress in our collective pursuit of improved prevention, treatment, and global health in the field of HIV/AIDS and infectious disease research. This year we are proud to host two exceptional keynote speakers: Robert C. Gallo, MD, co-discoverer of HIV, of the Institute of Human Virology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, and the Global Virus Network, and Preston Marx, PhD, of Tulane University’s School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine and the Tulane National Primate Research Center.  

New Orleans, with its unique blend of tradition and modernity, serves as an inspiring backdrop for the exchange of ideas and the forging of new partnerships. We encourage all participants to immerse themselves in the food, music, and history of our host city while they pursue scientific discourse, exchange insights, and connect with colleagues from around the country and the world.
