Research at the Tulane National Primate Research Center primarily focuses on infectious diseases using a nonhuman primate model of transmission, infection, and pathogenesis. Our faculty have research interests that explore the intersection between infectious diseases and chronic disease outcomes and collaborate with internal and external investigators to develop diagnostics, preventatives and therapeutics.
Faculty at the Tulane National Primate Research Center have academic appointments at the Tulane University School of Medicine, the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and the School of Science and Engineering, and typically devote 100% of their time to research at the primate center campus.
