The Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC) offers a nine-week Summer Research Program from June through early August 2019 to a limited number of undergraduate students interested in biomedical research. The program introduces students to the principles and practice of scientific research.
Successful Program candidates are paired with a TNPRC faculty mentor and will be expected to complete a short research project and present the research findings to the Center's faculty and staff. Students assigned to laboratory-based projects do not have contact with nonhuman primates.
Program openings are available in the following Divisions of the TNPRC: Comparative Pathology, Microbiology, Immunology, Regenerative Medicine and Veterinary Medicine's Environmental Enrichment Unit. Applicants may state Division preference, but will not be able to pre-select. The Program's selection committee assigns students to mentors.
Application Deadline: February 1, 2019
Program Date: May 31, 2019 - August 2, 2019 (9 weeks)
Attendance is required for the 9 week duration, only apply if you can make this commitment.
